I give plans that get results. Consistency, structure and nailing the basics.
I'm Shane O'Connor, a strength and conditioning coach from Derry City. I studied Sport & Exercise Science at university, completed my PT qualification, and I'm now studying an MSc in Performance Coaching.
I've coached across club and county setups, from underage to senior.
I've always had a strong interest in physical fitness and how gym work can improve performance on the pitch. While no exercise is ever truly sport-specific, I focus on choosing movements that give GAA players the best carryover to their game and the best return for their effort.
I don't believe results come from training seven days a week, they come from keeping training simple and trying to improve every session.

"Shane completely transformed how I approach gym work as a GAA player. I'm faster, stronger and way more durable than I was last season."
"The online coaching is elite. I get a programme built around my match schedule and it actually works."
"Best investment I made for my game. Shane knows GAA, knows strength training, and knows how to get the best out of you."
